Ministries

Those selected receive careful preparation to bring the power of the word of God and love of scripture to others. Through various resources, in-house training, and Archdiocese of San Francisco training, you are equipped to lead others to the love of scripture.

Eucharistic Ministers assist with the distribution of Holy Communion during weekday and Sunday Masses. After training, service is scheduled according to individual ability. Whether beginner or long-serving, there is always great reverence for the Eucharistic species.

Ushers assist people finding a place to sit, take up all collections, and serve as parking lot attendants. The attitude of this ministry is as important as the work they do, reflecting their love for God in the way they greet and tend to people.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist to the Homebound are all trained by the Archdiocese. They give Holy Communion to the homebound and to the lonely.

A family hosts the Vocation Cross for one week. Each evening as the family gathers for prayer, the Cross is placed at the center of the table as a reminder of their commitment to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Currently consists of about 18 children, led by Father Thuan.

Helps with readings and other preparations for the Masses.

Provides music at the 5:00 pm Vietnamese Mass and other parish celebrations. Feast day: May 31st.

Supports all activities of the community, especially providing food at special celebrations and daily prayer. Feast day: St. Monica's, August 27th.

Religious education and Vietnamese language classes led by Sister My Hanh Cao.
